Rear Metal Jacket (RMJ) for NIKON Lens

RMJ_NIKON series is designed to house vintage Nikon lens for building anamorphic lenses. It features:

  • 77mm female front thread, screw directly into the back of Rapido V3 Clamp

  • Easy integration with Rapido FMJ and Rapido FVD to build a professional looking anamorphic lens

  • Maintain min distance between taking lens and anamorphic projection lens

  • Standard 0.8 module geared ring for iris control

  • Compatible with regular Nikon F to EF adapter

  • Support both Ai & Ai-S version

  • Support following lenses:

    1. Nikon Ai or Ai-S NIKKOR 35mm f/2 (52mm front filter)

    2. Nikon Ai or Ai-S NIKKOR 50mm f1.4 (52mm front filter)

    3. Nikon Ai or Ai-S NIKKOR 85mm f/2 (52mm front filter)

    4. Nikon Ai or Ai-S Nikkor 105mm f/2.5 (52mm front filter)

The RMJ_NIKON package, includes:

  • One rear metal jacket body

  • Gear ring

  • Rear lock ring

  • Front adapter plate

  • Screws & hex key

Setup Instruction:

  1. Remove the rear lens claw

  2. Set focus at INF, and tape focus ring to the lens body with electrical tape

  3. Screw in the front adapter

  4. Slide the Lens into the jacket body

  5. Tighten three screws to lock down the front adapter with the RMJ body

  6. Tighten four set screws from the side (depends on the lens, some doesn't need this step)

  7. Slide the gear ring from the back, and tighten three set screws to lock down the gear ring with the iris ring, adjust the tightness of the set screw until iris ring can be rotated freely from end to end, and iris open & close as expected

  8. Screw on the rear lock ring, and tighten the set screw to secure it. Make sure the iris ring can still rotate freely

  9. Attach the NIKON F to CANON EF adapter
